bearac is a an organization devoted to restoring valuable recordings of the past that are
no longer available and, if ever issued on CD, are now deleted and difficult, if not
impossible, to obtain. We digitally remaster valuable recordings from our extensive
collection.

All transfers are made using a variety of high quality transcription decks and the
resulting digital data transcribed to computer and cleaned of extraneous noises to
which ALL vinyl - even if absolutely unplayed - is prone.

When we help sound we take care not to alter the characteristics and balance of the
original recording. We compensate for side to side (and sometimes track to track)
dynamic level difference if necessary. We prepare your copy writing at the slowest
speed to avoid jitter (measured steady speed, to emulate real time transcription), so
each CD benefits from all possible hi fidelity and full sound info. Remember though:
these are not DDD CDs, but ADD copies of vinyl discs - they do not pretend to
compete with modern digital recordings.

This is a work of love! Not a commercial web enterprise. Our CDs are not
production-line; they are handmade at all stages. We use high quality printable blanks
and the paper for the jewel-case "booklets" is coated photo paper printed with our
elegant and attractive covers. Our CDs come with complete track information and
timings, along with source info and recording particulars (date, location) when this is
available.

Add to this hours and days of hard work to prepare the fine sound-result, and it is
evident that the asked price does not allow a profit margin; it is your contribution to
our expense for sharing these rare treasures with music loving collectors the world
over.
