your disks just arrived. They were contained in the best-wrapped package I have ever seen! The disks themselves are stylishly and sturdily packaged (even a picture!), but, moreover, the sound, at least on the Bruckner Symphony #1 that I am listening to now, is superb. A magical recording of a magical pair of works by the 19th y.o. Juan Crisostomo Arriaga, for all intents and purposes as great a loss to the world of music as were the early demises (though in much more advanced ages) of Mozart, Schubert or Bizet. You rarely heard those played as perfectly as by the Guilet Quartet in a very fine recording of the early 1950s. The Long Playing Record Guide of 1955 drooled over it.
