BRC-3372 Schumann Cello Cto - Symph 2

Navarra made a celebrated stereo recording with Ancerl in Prague, and here is his first recording with Cluytens and the Colonne Orchestra - a marvel of a rendition where both protagonists vie with each other in their felicitous contributions. Schuricht's Schumann cycle with the Paris Conservatory Orchestra is rightly considered to be a central reference and here is the Second played incomparably and recorded brightly and dynamically. A most welcome reminder of past glories -- and an altogether forgotten Navarra in the concerto.
