Otterloo recorded an older mono version with Uninskly (on BRC-2801) so here is now a formidable later stereo version with the maverick Nikita Magaloff. A very special recording done in the Concertgebouw, rarest testimony of two very fine artists working together in a great work. Carl Seemann's mono Brahms needs rescuing from oblivion. This is a magical account of a great set (how very forward looking is Brahms in his solo piano music!) recorded very well by DG and restored to perfection. Unmissable Brahms.
