Ask a question about this product

These are the pioneering ARCHIV recordings made by the great American pianist and harpsichordist Ralph Kirkpatrick during the early years of the DGG Archiv recordings that revolutionized the Baroque. Though superseded by Karl Richters cycle soon afterwards, the Kirkpatrick readings retain a special atmosphere and the sound is lively and wide ranging. The set was available in a big box with the complete Kirkpatrick's recordings for DGG but were unavailable otherwise and on their own. Perfect transfers.
