The English were transferred on CD but not the French. Here they are now, taken from a beautifully preserved set of heavy vinyl Wenstminsters. You will agree that this pioneering set contains one of the best ever interpretations of these marvelous works. Valenti, a virtuoso pianist, pupil of the legendary Jose Iturbi, was encouraged by his friend Rakph Kirkipatrick to switch to this instrument - at those times a great novelty. Like all pioneers, he is playing the Suites with irrepressible enthusiasm. Perfect sound - a peach of a twofer. Get it! |
